H E L L O .

omg, its been a month i havent update this blog. oh well, been busy with uni for the last 4weeks and i am free as a bird now. well, not really, i still have to do 1 PR exam next tuesday, the 9th of November. but it's all settle and will start studying next thursday (hopefully) and i do have the whole weekend to study but oh well.

oh well.. my last assignment last week was 'killing me softly' really. coz the last bit, we meant to re-draw a photograph i took before with photoshop. with 1 rule, my drawing can't be like animation, it have to be exactly like a real photography. well.. this is mine


i know its not perfect but at least i tried :) a bit animation-ish but yeahh, i like it. so do iva! iva is the model by the way, shes a best friend of mine and i just photographed her, easy! hehe. and yeah, that was my photoshop bit, the other assigment was my photowork : dark room session with 'picturing the dark' theme. in this assignment i have to photographed something in the dark with the light meter and shit, it was awesome but yeah.. time consuming and also waste ( a bit) of money coz you cant just buy 1 roll of film and thats it, you have to try and try until you get it right.

this is the first one i captured, and yes, this is another friend of mine, Citra rosa. I took this picture just beside her apartment under a light and i used the light meter thing to capture this and yeah, i succeed! not hard, but im just lazy thats all..

The second one i thought of something scary yet dark, so i was thinking about suicide, and yes this is what it came out as..


and yeah, thats all my work. its all time consuming. i have other much more assignment back then, thats why i have to time to do stuff, i had to work on my studiowork, my presentation, report and all yes i am anti-social for a while but its all worth it and i LOVED it its over now just waiting for the exam on the 9th of november which is next monday, first day of the exam week. oh well, hopefully, it goes well.

im soooo sleepy. i think im going to sleep right now and yes will continue some more later tomorrow after i finish studying for bits next monday.

indonesian pride.

oh well, i just finish a poster for my church's event, they're ok - not the best thing in the world, but i liked it - while i was browsing through someone's blog which i forgot who it was, I ended up in a blog which gossip-ing about indonesia these days includes those socialites. scroll down and down, I saw this article with my highschool name on it, i stopped and i looked at her, it is her and it was photographed by Eric Chang (Indonesian photographer)

Thats the topin for now, Eric Chang, i thought hes someone old. What i mean by old is that by looking at his picture and all the techniques he used, he must be someone expert like... real expert and while i browsed down hes biography, he was born in 1990. hes like 2 year YOUNGER than me and i was like... *glup* amazed is the right word i supposed. hes hell talented. proud to have him as Indonesian :P

Seriously, breath-taking and it was photos by Melissa Rodwell for Genlux magazine in Southern California. it's totally a fashion magazine and Rodwell got this opprtunity to show off her snaps. She got 2 choices about the theme she going to photographed ; a story based on a girl and a boy kissing or a fashion story about from all time favourite love movie - Romeo and Juliet.. apparently, Rodwell choose a fashion story based on those Capulet and Montague's rival family - Rome and Juliet. oh well.. this is why i call it breath-taking . . .

White shirt campaign.

hey all  . . . 

Im so excited for this white shirt campaign in Australia wide spread. Introducing Witchery White Shirt Campaign, so every year Witchery raise money from this campaign for those who suffer from ovarian cancer research in Australia. It was pretty successful because the money raise from year to year is increasing like in 2006 Witchery raised $100,000. in 2007, they raised $350,000, last year they raised $565,000. phew, thats a lot of money.. this year's campaign is just started and just $77,100 raised but still counting. lets donate for something useful :)

welcome october .

been a w h i l e.

been very very busy after my 2 weeks holidays, a lot of thing must be done such as : self-introspection (improve ME) and others such as reflect my life and also . . . asshitment. it worked really well and i enjoyed every seconds of my life seriously with the p r e s s u r e and also the thoughts but hey, this is L I F E! otherwise without all that shit, life would be F LA T!

oh well, yesterday which was M O N D A Y, i already had something due which was my photowork : picturing motion assignment. in this task, I had to capture 2 things about motion, 1 image which is a blur image which meant to be some kind of motion been apply and the other one was freeze where I capture something that an eye cant catch. well, this task pretty hard i can say coz firstly, i had no idea what to do until the very last minute and also i was confuse who am i gonna photographed. oh well . . i came only with limited ideas.

For the blur motion, my idea was a couple dancing with one of them freezed and the other just spin and spin, that would be the blur bit, OR still a couple but acted as a princess and princes where the prince took a bow to the princess that would be my blur bit. show you what i did with the picture (note: this photowork assignment are manually done in the darkroom)

so yeah, thats basically the 4 I chose to be picked by the tutor. and he picked my faves :

and for the freeze one. actually i have no idea what to do. what i like to capture are fashion photos like in the studio or any kind of fashion photography, put it this way.. i like to picture a person/model. hehe. and this is what I like (actually) :

but when i looked at the brief, it have to be something with energy and also a lot of context in it. for me, all of my images i took on the roll doesnt really have context and its too late to fix stuff.. so i decided to give my other choice eventhough its not very good (which i forget to scan) oh well. . . thats about my assignment really. i took some other picture but next time :P

gloomy friday.

friday again?
oh my, days goes by so VERY fast, i have no idea why.
today, I went to Queen Victoria Market near flagstaff garden, i thought today as in Friday going to be sunny and a very fine and nice weather, but the fact its raining and very not a nice weather yet freezing.

here we go, todays weather : very annoying! i hate it so much much.

My mom and a cousin of mine went to browse some herbs and ingredients for dinner on the market and seems like women is very hard to walk straight to their destination, they have to go round and round and round then the destination :)

heres my mom and my cousin.. i thought they were looking for herbs.. but these sheets look adorable (please, excuse... women!) so my cousin go on and look at those sheets and ask for the price and buy it. 1m for 10dollars, pretty cheap hey :D ended up my cousin bought only 2m regarding her needs. oh well, we might go back there and get some more.

ok.. continue the journey to the herbs market, my cousin decided to cook for dinner ; decided to cook STEAK for dinner, i'll update you in my next blog how the steak looks like, ok?

heres the cooking bits.. im sooo excited to eat those :D

get back to our victoria market trip, after we negotiate with the old lady, we can't have the price reduced, hehehe.. but oh well.. my cousin still bought it anyway.

here we are! in the herb shop. bought a lot of herbs for tonight's steak.. (still excited!) and since my mom LOVES cooking, she also bought some for herself to indo :D


this is the meat.. everything is on special and i dont know why but it was a good deal though, we bought 3 kg brisket = beef for only $12. omg, its so cheappp!! omg omg omg. ok, thats our day and im going to watch the simpson now.

Melbourne dayss..

oh well.. i met my bestfriend today and im totally FREAKIN' happy! because all this time, we only chat through skype and just sms-ing, this afternoon, we met and drank chocolate, actually ate chocolate fondue in marx brenner, woohoo.. how i missed this chocolate fondue..

first bestfriend i met, her name is Nikita, met her few years back while shes still in Perth. and after we ate our lunchies, i went to see my other friend, knew her since i was in primary school grade 1 i think, thats the point where im totally happy!! she brought our other friend, called itak, oh well.. we chatted and laughed like theres no tomorrow.. but its all very happy and memorable of course. a friend of Cindy came by, his name was Hendry, he just graduated from UQ in Brisbane oh well.. i will gradute soon though :P

spring holiday

hello.
its been a while since i write this blog, kind of abandoned. but im back here. todays 23rd september and im sitting on a study table in my rented service apartment in Melbourne. this short holiday i love since my mom came from Jakarta to Perth last tuesday the 15th after i begged her for soooo loooooong. my mom spent a while in Perth then we flied from Perth to Melbourne for 9 days, we will return to Perth next tuesday the 29th and she will return to Jakarta on friday the 2nd October. pretty happy while shes around and also meet my bestfriend in Melbourne TOMORROW! there are something that my mom have to settle here in Melbourne with some people (important people).

oh well.. recently, i'd been browsing through the net, and a LOTS of blogs that inspired me really from fashion, photography and also design and now i know how to write blog (..i think) but, i like to keep my style of writing and passion, photography :D oh well.. just when i arrived in melbourne last Monday, there were this brownlow award just near to where i live in Southbank, the event held in Crown hotel. Brownlow award is a medal given to those footy player (like the best player and every other category).

so, this is the medal . . .

hmm.. the red carpet also a very important thing during this event, heres my favourite couple of the night...

this is Gary Abblett Jr & couple, Lauren Phillips.
Gary took the title of the winner of the Brownlow medal for this year. woohoo! hes handsome alright. His girlfriend, Lauren dressed the best amongst everyone i think because the way she used the dress was very elegant, its called coral georgette from Aussie's designer, Thurley.

oh well.. i enjoy my time in Melbourne, I will update my blog when i meet my bestfriend tomorrow afternoon to help her do her photoshop thing.. ciaO.

experiment .

in uni, i'd been doing photography, design, advertising and PR unitssss.

one of the photography require me to take pictures with analog camera - its a camera which used film roll - and after taking pictures and finish rolls after rolls, I have to process the roll and produce a picture. also known as darkroom.

I was so terrified that what i took won't really developed properly, since as a person im kinda rushing to do stuff, that's why I'm really a the top of myself when doing this assignment. but it's total fun!! the chemical provided are really expensive same as the paper to produce the picture.


This is the very first picture on my very first roll.. it turn out quite good, eventhough I kind of messed up during the process.

this is the second (or third or fourth...) roll i tried oh well, this is just fro fun basically :D

this is one of the model shoot i took the other day for my assignment :D
well.. i just PASSED the whole 10% thing, at least i didnt fail. thank God :)

it's september.

Hei Hai

can't believe its september and my last blog was written on the 2nd week last week. oh well, been busy with all my asshitment since im in my last semester and im taking 5 units. thats a hella lots of work, thats why I dont really have time to spoilt really. Since it feels like taking a very heavy bag to carry, arghh.

oh well, looking between my last blog and now. I had this amazing Tong Cafe going on, a yearly event organized by my church which held randomly - not randomly but depends on the availability of some places. well.. year 2009, we asked Pongky 'Jikustik' and his wife, Sophie Navita to came down under. Since Tong Cafe's purpose is a charity event and all the money from the ticket and some of the food stall goes to improve poverty in Indonesia, still...

oh well.. happy they came, such a blessing - really. This is when they came by on my church sunday service.

my 'now' mood : e x h a u s t ed.

yea, today was packed and im so freakin' tired since i had full day class of Public Relation Event Management and i didnt felt that good. i had headache, very soar throat and my eyes.. they just want to be shutted.

oh well, bored. There a huge event in Perth soon.. like, next friday - the 21st of August. called Tong Cafe 6 featuring Pongky. For those of you who stay in Perth, I do encourage you to come to this huge event, you can contact me for tickets :) all the profits will go to the less unfortunate people in Indonesia, who needed more than us and by doing this, you also doing a good deed already since you are like.. donating charity to those poor people below the bridge in Jakarta, and those old people who live their life in slums - well, their house is just not right. Also, there also great range of Indonesian food and Perth's local - Indonesian band. come and join us!

in the middle of my randomness.

heyho.

i meant to do this video for a big event held in Perth, Tong Cafe 6 but yet i am LAZY to do it. since seriously, i dont understand how to use the software - adobe premiere pro cs4. migoshh, its like.. so hard and i also have 5 days to do this video. God bless me.

Aside from my complaint, saturday and sunday always been my BEST dayss of the week, because i can relax on those days, dont care about the meetings i had with my church mates and all but its a total fun! i love hanging around with my church friends, i post their faces later, since i cant be bother to find stuff in the middle of my randomness >.<

and yes, i am addicted to miss Pixie Lott's songs. There something about her voice that makes me fall in love with her as in... like her x] one of the best is her 'use somebody' (king leon cover)

and im seriously loving her style and all. . .

ok. that was a little bit of my 'now' addiction. i might change my mind tomorrow, who knows? and yeah, i was browsing this photographer site last thursday for my first photomedia assignment and i found this photographer. omg omg omg, he is GOOOOD. His name is Storm Thorgerson, he is famous tho but i havent really look carefully at his work, and last thursday when i did the research.. i was completely BREATHLESS by his snaps. this is some of his work . . .

ooh yeah, last month a leader told me to design a t-shirt for my ministry at church, which is the Praise&Worship Team which include musician, singer, dancer, and sound system. Havent been approved yet but hopefully they want to mass-produce it in Jakarta. let me spill the design :)
